SHOW & SET UP HOURS

Come into the Keystone grounds off of 18th Street and Queens Avenue.  The loading areas are
at the east side of the Keystone Centre, at the north end of the ramp.  A large sign above the
doors will indicate “Vendor Entrance”.

Show Hours:   Saturday, October 23rd, 2010                        10:00 am – 6:00 pm
                     Sunday, October 24th, 2010                           10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Set Up Hours: Friday, October 22nd, 2010                             5:00 pm – 10:00 pm
                    Saturday, October 23rd, 2010                          7:00 am – 10:00 am

No earlier please on Friday!  The rooms are usually in use until 5 pm as we are busy getting
the booth curtains, booth numbers and hydro drops set up.

We would prefer that all exhibitors set up Friday night if possible and then finish up Saturday
morning if you need to, remembering that the doors open at 10 am.

A map of the floor plan will be inside the loading doors on an easel when you arrive at the sale.
Please look for your name and booth number.

If you have questions or concerns please ask before you set up your space.

Name tags will be available Saturday morning in each booth, please wear them at all times.  At
the end of the show please remove your booth number from your back curtain and leave it at
your booth.  They will be kept in order and used again next year.

When setting up please unload your vehicle first and move your merchandise and display into
the show.  After your vehicle is empty please move it away from the loading zone so your fellow
exhibitors can utilize the loading space.  Please build your booth after your vehicle is moved.

When setting up, please plan your space so that you stay within your designated space.  The
booths are 10’ x 10’.   A small number of 8’ deep x 10’ wide booths are available in the UCT
Room.

This is important to not only keep the aisles free for fire regulations but also so that our
customers can shop in comfort.  No booths are to be broken down before the show is over at 5:
00 pm Sunday.  Also, no dollies will be removed from the storeroom until 5:00 pm Sunday.
Please be patient at the loading area as it will be dark out and there will be a great deal of traffic
in that area.  We will have security helping in this area.  Many vendors will have a long drive
ahead of them Sunday evening and we all want to leave on a good note, please be kind to one
another.

WHAT WE PROVIDE FOR EXHIBITORS

Booth curtains and decorations:  Each vendor will be provided with a 7’ high (usually blue)
backdrop curtain behind the exhibit booth as well as knee high side curtains.  This helps you
create an attractive display with no distraction from your neighbors.  Booth sizes are 10 feet x 10
feet.  Very limited quantities of 8 x 10 booths are also available in the UCT Room only.  The
tables provided are 8 feet long and 2 ½ feet deep.  An L shape in a single booth does not work
unless you bring narrower or shorter tables etc.   Please bring displays, fixtures, lighting, etc. to
fill your space creatively.  Just a reminder to also bring extension cords if you have requested
power.

If you have requested power in your booth you may end up with the power box in your booth.
This is unfortunate, however, someone has to have it. They are dropped randomly from the
ceiling and every effort is made to put them in booths that have requested hydro.  Please do not
move these A frame outlet boxes for any reason without first speaking to Karen or Brent.

The Keystone Centre does not provide table skirting or covers.

TABLES MUST BE SKIRTED TO HIDE STORAGE.  This makes your selling area more inviting
and professional looking.

Security:  We pay for and provide overnight security.  However, we suggest that you cover or
drape your booth at night.  For security, as well as to keep the dust off of your merchandise that
may settle overnight.

Karen & Brent Keilback are always willing to help you with any problems that you may
encounter.  They can be located at the front entrance of the Manitoba Room at the information
booth in Booths 1 & 2.

Licensing:  A Craft Show business license, as well as a $ 7.00 per booth city license fee have
been paid to the City of Brandon.

Coffee:  Courtesy of Brandon’s “Big One”, complimentary coffee will be available to the vendors
from 9:00 am – 10:00 am Saturday and Sunday mornings.  Coffee is available in the Manitoba
Room beside Forbidden Flavours booth.

IMPORTANT DATES

If you must cancel you must call immediately in order to protect your future status in booking
this event again.  On all exhibitor cancellations occurring before September 1st, 2010 there will
be a 10% service charge on the total booth fees reserved.

For any cancellation after September 1st, 2010 there will be no refund.

RULES

The city license provided is for a craft show.  This means “an event where the hand made
goods of a craftsperson are displayed or offered for sale”.  A craftsperson is described as “any
person who makes handmade goods, produced by themselves or their immediate family and
offers them for sale”.

Absolutely no import items, catalog sales, distributors or flea market items will be allowed.
Brandon’s “Big One” Arts & Crafts Sale has distinguished itself as a professional show with
quality HANDMADE arts and crafts.  Management reserves the right to remove any exhibitor or
any merchandise from the show if it is determined that the vendor has not conformed to this
rule.  Any exhibitor who is asked to leave the event because of misrepresentation will forfeit
their booth fees.  I have seen in past, items from wholesalers and have spoke with individuals
with this regard…this is one rule we will continue to enforce.  It is not fair to the rest of the
crafters who take pride in making handmade arts and crafts.
